havnt used it yet

received first one, rubber eye cup kept coming off, filter would only screw in 1/2 turn in the threaded bottom, when shaken could hear lenses rattling inside, called and mailed it back new one came in only couple days as they mailed it as soon as they received conformation that it was mailed. second one was exactly the same. maybe it's just me but i don't like the idea of a filter only sitting in there 1/2 turn where it could fall out and damage the diagonal mirror also i don't like that the lenses make noise is it is tipped over or shaken. i put some rubber tape around the base of the rubber eye cup so it don't come off now. staff was very nice and shipping was fast, but asked them to open the box and check the second one before shipping guess no one did or that's the way they all are. have not got a chance to use it much except for terrestrial viewing while setting up the spotter scope.

This eyepiece represents incredible value for money if you consider the high quality star images it delivers across the entire field, the high contrast of the field and the number of eyepieces you can replace because of the range of zoom it has! I have recently tried this with a beautifully collimated f7.9 4.5” reflector that is so common at the introduction level in amateur astronomy. The eyepiece delivers beautiful images. Tack sharp airy discs with single prominent diffraction ring - the best a spherical mirror can deliver. Very eager now to try it with my questars and big f4.9 dob! I would recommend this eyepiece. It is fantastic to use in picking the perfect size field for deep sky sketching! Contrast is best from 8-12mm when using this eyepiece. A real winner!

This is a wonderful eyepiece. It comes with a valuable rubber eye guard. Unfortunately, if you lose the eye guard, you cannot purchase a replacement. Very poor IMHO.
