Range extended but not far enough
Info on this wifi extender lists over 900’ range. I get about 150’ and signal starts dropping and reconnecting. My telescope setup with asiair is about 100 yards from my house and will connect only about 10% of the time and will not stay connected. I need to try some different positions of extender. Not sure how to position for the best horizontal signal broadcast. I have used it three times so far. This extender helps. But if you need more than 100 yards it might be questionable. I wanted to set by my living room window and operate my telescope. So far, I can’t. Also I am powering the extender from my asiair. Maybe I should get it’s own power source.

Mine works well
Some reviewers have had units that did not meet their expectations, so I was doubtful but purchased anyway. I'm glad I took a chance because it works for me. Using direct connection, it has not dropped connection when I have been about 50 feet away and through the wall of my house 20 feet away. Instructions for setup to the Asiair are sketchy, as I have found to power up and connect to the Asiair first, then plug in the ethernet cable and log in to the Vonets.

Quick, and effective
If you want to control your unit via tablet this is quick and simple. Are there longer range extenders yes, are there some a little cheaper yes. But remember what this is connivance! plug and play solid range 100 feet away through a big front window can sit and control my scope all night long.
