    Finally, a pier extension that is light and easily packable for mobile astrophotography. The ZWO Pier Extension PE 160 was built for those that pack up their kit and transport it to their preferred dark sky location.

    ZWO Pier Extension PE 160 for AM5 Telescope Mounts

    CNC crafted from aircraft grade aluminum, the ZWO Pier Extension is designed to be quickly and easily disassembled when not in use, saving significant storage and transport space. Weighing in at just over 2 lbs, with a capacity of 28 lbs, this pier extension is capable of supporting a wide range of telescopes and accessories. The pier offers 160mm (6.3 inches) of added space between your mount and tripod. 

    ZWO Pier Extension for AM5 Alt/Az Eq Mount

    Finished in a deep matte black, this pier not only looks good, it is built to last. The highy rigid, durable, and temperature-resistant design will perform flawlessly year after year. The ZWO Pier Extension PE 160 features three quick release mounting tabs for fast and easily installation between your tripod and mount, including the ZWO AM5 Mount (not included), giving your telescope more slewing space to reduce the chance of interference between your telescope and tripod.

    Collapsible Pier Extension

    The best part about this pier is its packability. Simply loosen six screws and the pier collapses into five main pieces, including a top and bottom plate and three pillars. Once taken apart, the pier becomes easily portable and ready to take on your next stargazing adventure.

    Mounting the PE 160 is a simple process. First, assemble the pier extension with the included hex wrench and M6 bolts. Next, set the extension atop your tripod and tighten the levers to lock the mount to your tripod and mount.

    Included with the pier are six M6 screws, three pillars, a top and bottom plates and a hex wrench to secure everything together.
