TPO focuser
I have this focuser on my Meade LX200. It has made focusing for visual and astrophotography much easier. You do have to play with the tension knobs to make sure the drawtube does not slip backwards especially during photography. The only drawback I have found is that the autofocuser setups (ZWO eaf, Pegasus) do not support the TPO focuser.
TPO focuser
This has made focusing my C8 and ZWOasi294 extremely easy. The operation is smooth and I think it provides a secure attachment for my camera. It is heavy and balancing was a challenge but it was doable. It was a good buy although the price dropped two weeks after I bought mine. I would buy it again as it does exactly what I wanted it do.
Night and Day
I needed to do this a long time ago. It is a major improvement and you use your existing star diagonal. Another distributor talks about needing a diagonal for refractors but I have no idea what they are talking about. You simply set this focuser an inch or so back and then turn the old telescope focuser a number of turns until the image comes into focus. From then on you do not touch the old focuser and the old endless focusing procedure ends for good.
Needs Improvement
Either the quality control or the design is weak in one crucial area. The main body of the focuser tends to suddenly come loose from the base that threads on to the SCT threads. The 3 setscrews that are intentionally assembled slightly loose to allow rotation of the main body are not substantial enough to reliably keep the body from suddenly falling off the screw-on base. I've had several close calls with my 2" diagonal and 2" eyepieces adding so much weight that the focuser body almost suddenly fell off. You must watch for this constantly which is very hard to do in the dark.
ok focuser
This focuser does everything it is supposed to do but it is not very smooth.I would not buy this particular brand of focuser again.
