Tele Vue Equalizer Adapter - 2" to 1.25"

Televue Equalizer 12-oz. Bronze Adapter

Are you tired of rebalancing your Dobsonian each time you switch between heavy 2" eyepieces and lighter 1.25" eyepieces? Do you tend to not use all the great eyepieces in your collection with an altazimuth mount for the same reason? Fight back with da' Equalizer...

Precision crafted from 12 ounces of solid brass, the Televue Equalizer Adapter is a welcome change over the aluminum design. By adding another 8 ounces in total weight, you'll find your eyepiece exchanges to be much more user friendly. Inside the Televue Equalizer Adapter, you'll find a non-marring brass compression ring to hold 1.25" eyepieces securely in place, with a captive set screw that won't get lost. The base of the Tele Vue Equalizer is gently funneled down to reflect incoming light harmlessly away to the side, instead towards your telescope's objective. This unique feature of da' "Equalizer" eliminates the need for special blackening of the underside of the adapter and makes this Televue Eyepiece Adapter accessory a true work of art.

Excellent accessory

I have eyepieces ranging from 48g to 1417g! The difficulty is finding a balance point for my telescope which suits all my EPs. This adapter certainly helps. By using this with all my lighter EPs the balance problems are greatly reduced. This adapter surprises you with it's weight (340g, which is what you want. Unlike the adapter which came with my scope it uses a superior compression ring, which is not only kinder on the barrels of my eyepieces but centers the EP (or collimator better. Also, the brass looks much superior to the standard black.
