• The Sky-Watcher 100mm Esprit ED Triplet APO Refractorwas designed with astro-imagers in mind that are eager to develop their astrophotography skills. Its three-element air spaced objective lens design, fully removes false color giving you prime contrast and sharpness. The included two-element field corrector guarantees a flat field across the entire imaging plane giving you brighter images. 

  The air-spaced ED APO Opticsare fully multi-coated for extra clarity, contrast, and protection. Three-element apochromatic objective with an included thread-on field flattener to the oversized micro-focuser. This system produces a 40 mm image circle, and you have about 69 mm of back focus for plenty of imaging accessories. Use it as a giant lens to capture the Universe with one of today’s amazing CCD cameras.

  TheDew Shield, when extended, will protect the optics from dew and help increase contrast by blocking stray light that might otherwise strike the glass. The shield is fully retractable when necessary in order to shorten your OTA for storage and travel.

  The Helinear Track Focusing System, a Sky-Watcher exclusive, is a rock-solid 2.7-inch rack and pinion focuser that will perform smoothly, without image shift, due to the extra support rail on the top of the drawtube. The micro focuser allows you to make strong and fine adjustments to focus, and the knobs are easy to turn, even with cold hands or with gloves on. A thread-on step down ring takes the opening down for 2-inch accessories.
