Starlight Inst. Feathertouch SCT Microfocuser - Celestron CPC925The Feathertouch SCT MicroFocuser by Starlight Instruments provides the smoothest control for fine focusing for Celestron CPC925 telescopes.
Two focus knobs allows for standard or 1/10th-speed focusing, making the MicroFocuser extremely accurate. Excellent for both imaging or visual observing, this focuser is precision-machined and anodized black with a brass fine-focus knob.
The SCT MicroFocuser is easily installed in place of the original focus knob on the Celestron CPC925.

I put the Feathertouch Focuser on my C925 EdgeHD recently. Once installed, it worked great. Very good control on fine-tuning your focusing. I had one problem in installing it, though. Step 3 of the instructions says to turn the existing brass assembly clockwise to expose the threaded shaft it is on, then to remove the Philips screw at the tip of the shaft. That is fine, but the next step (4) says to turn the brass assembly counterclockwise to remove it from the shaft. I found that I had to first lock down the mirror with the two mirror lock knobs before turning the brass assembly counterclockwise, otherwise the shaft would go down, making it impossible to put the Feathertouch focuser on it. So, I suggest Step 3.5 should be inserted in the instructions that says to tighten the mirror lock knobs right after the Philips screw has been removed. That is not currently in the instructions.
Easy install, focusing is smooth and precise. Do yourself a favor, lose the stock Celestron focuser and install one of these.
Precise fit for my C925 Edge HD. The first night I got better focus than ever before with the stock Celestron focuser knob. The assembly is over 2x as long as the standard one, so rotation of imaging train was no longer 360, but well worth the trade off.
My experience with the OPT staff was the very best as both the sales person and accounts person were very helpful throughout the purchase process and shipped the item very quickly. The issues I had post sales were mainly with UPS shipping - The agents for UPS in New Zealand didn't advise me about how to go about releasing the item from customs and I was unaware of how much I needed to pay and nobody seemed to know anything, leaving it to me to drive the process. Then after several e-mails and phone calls to UPS I was finally given the information required and I paid the fees to have the item released. As a result the delivery of the item was held back for an extra 4 days or more. I consider UPS to be incompetent and OPT would be better using an alternative shipper (I never had any issues with USPS)
Recently purchased this to go along with my C9.25. Celestron should make them standard equipment, the stock one leaves a lot to be desired. Do yourself a favor and pick one up if you have a SCT. You'll thank yourself.
