• The Prodigy is Pegasus Astro's newest 3" robotic microfocuser. It has everything you need, from high-end electronics to an ultra accurate motor to allow you to focus your telescope with precision. Its sturdy design ensures that this microfocuser can lift up to 10kg (22 lbs) of equipment with dead accuracy and no flexure! The Prodigy Microfocuser has 25mm of draw tube travel and a clear aperture of 76mm (3").

  Included with the Prodigy Microfocuser are 2 x USB2 switchable ports and 2 x 12V switchable power outputs that provide electric power to your equipment closer to the focuser (i.e. filter wheel, guiding camera, etc.)

  This microfocuser allows for adjustable rotation and precise orientation on both sides of the device. This allows you to easily fit the microfocuser to your telescope, while also placing your camera with the desired orientation.

  You may be asking-- what kind of focuser is the Prodigy? Well, it is neither a Crayford nor Rack&Pinion style. Its innovative mechanical focus design provides you both very high load support and accuracy, all with zero maintenance! 
  

  Prodigy's embedded step motor design ensures a smooth, low noise and backlash free operation. The v-curve points that appear during automatic focusing procedures are dead accurate.

  This microfocuser requires an adapter for telescope connection. Pegasus Astro has one that connects to the Celestron SCT Edge C11,C14 telescopes and one for GSO RC 10", 12", 14", or 16". More adapters are coming soon. You can also download this step file and modify the telescope side of the adapter based on your needs (aperture / thread and backfocus).
