  • This is a small circuit board which can be installed inside an existing FocusLynx Hub.

  • Lets you control two separate Optec motorized units remotely, using just one Hub box.

  • The Second Stepper Control Board can be easily installed by the user.
  • Note: It is strongly recommended that the installer uses a static grounding strap, in order to prevent ESD (static) damage to the electronics. See the Optec video below which demonstrates how to install this kit.

    The Optec FocusLynx Second Stepper Control Board is a small circuit board which can be installed inside an existing FocusLynx Hub. It provides the control circuit for a second motorized focuser unit, etc.

    Take control of your astronomical accessories the easy way! The FocusLynx Second Stepper Control Board would be a great addition if you want to control two separate Optec motorized units remotely, using just one Hub box. You can independently control up to two Optec or Starlight focusers through a computer, smartphone, or hand control. Each focuser may be plugged into the hub using standard serial cables. The FocusLynx can then be connected to a computer via serial cable, Ethernet, or wireless network (with purchase of the extra FocusLynx Wireless Board accessory). Once connected, are ready to go!

    The Second Stepper Control Board can be easily installed by the user. Just remove the top lid from the Hub (by removing only four screws) and the Control Board will plug into the Mother Board already located within that box.

    Note: It is strongly recommended that the installer uses a static grounding strap, in order to prevent ESD (static) damage to the electronics.

    Optec Focus Lynx Second Stepper Contril Board

    The item was extremely easy to install. Jeff has a nice youtube video showing the procedure. Works great. No hiccups installing drivers… it just works.
