  • Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) to good use on every inch of its impressive 14-inch aperture, maximizing the image brightness and contrast to the highest level.
  • A primary mirror locking mechanism which can be used to completely prevent movement of the primary mirror during long exposure astrophotography or lengthy observing sessions.
  • AutoStar II software with a 145,000 object-library with multiple guided tours.
  • 16-channel GPS receiver provides precise and quick star alignment.
  • Multiple ports including RS-232 PC interface and jacks for a CCD Autoguider (user-supplied) and illuminated reticle.

  Meade LX200 Dual-Fork Mount Features

  • Provides accurate tracking with the DC-servo driven, super heavy-duty double fork mount.
  • It's one of the strongest and most rigid mounts in its substantial weight class and demands a solid and dependable pier to mount itself upon.
  • It can slew anywhere from 1 to 8 degrees per second and can be altered to as fine a level as 0.1 degrees per second, allowing you to fine-tune your slewing speed perfectly to fit your situational needs.
