• iOptron SkyTracker Pro with iPolar

  If you're having trouble with polar alignment, then look no further with the SkyTracker Pro with built-in iPolar! The Pro is a wonderful upgrade from the original SkyTracker, with its more compact size, accuracy, and silent tracking (perfect for long-term exposures). It is even fitted with a built-in rechargeable power source that is able to run for up to 24 continuous hours! The built-in iPolar gives you the ability to harness quick and precise polar alignment, leaving the rest of the night for star gazing and image capturing! It accepts cameras weighing up to 6.6 lbs.

  The SkyTracker Pro comes equipped with 4 different tracking rates: 1X, or sidereal ; 1/2X for sky and landscape ; solar ; lunar. Each of these tracking rates work both in the northern and southern hemispheres. There is also a quick slew mode (180X max) that has both forward and reverse, which will quickly reframe your image without disturbing the camera's position.

  iOptron has been hard at work, making improvements on the SkyTracker Pro's removable alt-azimuth base, which now features a precision bubble level, degree markings for the altitude, and a built-in post for the azimuth control. You also have the ability to mount the SkyTracker Pro head (without the base) directly to any standard photographic tripod that has 1/4" or 3/8" threads. The SkyTracker Pro is definitely an asset to have if you're serious about wide field astrophotography!
