Bought it to upgrade from the old LXD-55 Mount. While have not had many chances to put it through its paces due to clouds, it seems to be very well made and of quality. Pointing accuracy coupled with the ASIAIR Pro is accurate and fast. Internal iPolar camera seems to be accurately mounted also. True to the manufacturer’s claim of tracking accuracy. 3-4 mins of unguided exposure shows round stars. However. It would have been a 5 stars review had it been a little easier to access the Azimuth screws on the base. Other than that, it’s been good so far. Cable manager has cut down my rig to just 2 hanging cables. One for power from the battery pack. The other is the USB from ASIAIR to the mount.

The fit and finish of the mount seems to be well constructed and of good quality. Have had may opportunities to put it though its paces due to rain and clouds in the area. So far, the accuracy of this mount is good coupled with the ASIAir Pro. There is virtually no backlash in the gears. The only drawback of this mount is the Az mounting bolts on the base. They are a pain to install if the head is to be removed and remounted every session.

I wanted to get an EQ6 but they are not in stock anywhere so I got this mount instead. I am very happy with the performance, the iPolar made polar Alignment easy and extremely accurate. The wiring setup is perfect for someone that wants to do a lot of computer automation, USB right into the mount and not through the hand controller. With plate solving I feel less bad about skipping the encoder version. I am getting better than arc second tracking with a guide scope. Love it, works, and the finish is beautiful.
