Coronado Solarmax III 70mm- BF15 Double Stack
Great! Sending images for you to publish!
Excellent Scope,But Need QC Improvement.
When I recive first scope,It has serverly QC issue,One of the etalon spacers has become loose and the filter off-band, the etalon plates (mirrors) are no longer parallel and I got a multitude of off-band images similar to two mirrors facing each other at an amusement park "fun house." Thanks to the OPT service,The secend scope I got is perfect.
Awesome
Still new with the telescope but the first two initial observations (of course, cloudy weather the entire two weeks after receiving) was excellent. Sharp images, much better focusing method than the older models and great build quality. Still working out how to use it precisely and figure out if there are any bugs, but so far, none. Shipped and packed perfectly, no damage at all. The carry case is a great accessory for such a fragile instrument, should be required for all scopes really. Much sharper image, more contrast and a lot brighter than the PSTs I've used in the past and a much better image than the previous versions (40, 60mm II). Looking to do some imaging with it sometime soon when the skies return but if there are any issues, I'll attempt an update.
SolarMax 3 70/400 DS BF15
Fast respons, perfect tracking possibility, delivery as planned; no payment issues. What about the scope. Before I had a PST40 and decided to be loyal to the brand Coronado. The reason for SolarMax 3 was both the choice of the newest scope and price. Package was received intact - two inner cartons and one metal box. No damages encountered. First light was a couple of days later when sun came out. Double stack is easy and in comparison with PST40 it's just awesome. Today i made pictures using ZWO ASI224MC and also those are beyond expectations. Based on my first impressions, I'm very please with this purchase.
