  • The Celestron NexStar+ USB Hand Control - EQ is a flash upgradable Celestron NexStar+ hand control and is compatible with all Equatorially mounted NexStars. The NexStar+ database has 40,000 objects and is Flash Upgradeable via the Internet. Complete your Celestron system with this hand controller!

    Celestron NexStar+ Hand Control Design

    This hand control has a dual-line 16-character LCD screen to relay information to you and show your selections. The controller's buttons are backlit for easy use and their brightness can be adjusted to your preferred level.

    There is a Mini-USB Port in the bottom end of the controller which you can use with your user-supplied cable to access the internet.

Upgrade

This HC is like a serious upgrade for my 10 year old CGEM mount. Not to mention that it allows me to use the new CPWI software or ASI air if I choose. Kuddos to OPT for acquiring some. I was told it could be a year wait.

Get this!

This is the upgrade for your rs 232 hand controller so that you can connect via USB to asi air pro or computer. It worked just like the factory controller.

Celestron NexStar USB Hand Control EQ recd but still a problem

Overall, experience using this hand control has been good---no electric or mechanical problems. However, this particular hand unit Does Not Have the current HC update version. I've been trying to find some way to process the update myself for the hand control but without success. It appears that an older unit was mailed to me. If I can get an updated unit, I should be able to update the motor control.
