Celestron NexStar Evolution 9.25" Computerized Telescope

The Celestron 9.25-inch NexStar Evolution Computerized Telescope is part of the NexStar Evolution series, known to be ideal when selecting user-friendly telescopes. Celestron engineers designed NexStar Evolution based on years of customer feedback. With the combination of special features, it's engineered to provide an excellent experience for beginners and more advanced telescope users alike.

Celestron 9.25-inch NexStar Evolution at a Glance

  • Enjoy up to 10 hours of stargazing, on a single charge, with its lithium-ion battery.
  • Store up to 7 eyepieces in 2 accessory trays, one with an adjustable red LED illuminator.
  • Ergonomic handles help you move it easily from place to place.
  • StarBright XLT optical coatings - a great choice for visual observers. Get bright, sharp, breath-taking views of the night sky.

One of the best things about this Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope series is that the battery comes built-in, so there is no need for external power supply. Keep your other devices charged while using your telescope by connecting them to the USB port conveniently available for use.

Easy Set-Up

The NexStar Evolution has an easy set-up ideal for any beginner astronomer to understand. Manual clutches in both altitude and azimuth offer greater flexibility to manually point the telescope when powered off. The steel tripod features leg etchings to help you achieve a level, uniform height for your telescope.

If you're interested in astro-imaging, the 9.25-inch NexStar Evolution is an excellent, affordable way to get started. It's the only fork-mounted telescope in its price range that offers worm gears, along with improved motors. The NexStar Evolution's tracking accuracy is so impressive, you can capture images of deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula by simply attaching your DSLR camera.

    Included Technology

    All-Star Polar Alignment

Get ready for a night of astroimaging with your mount faster than previously thought possible with All-Star Polar Alignment. This innovative software solves the time-consuming problem of trying to pinpoint the North Celestial Pole.

The new Lithium Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery chemistry has significant advantages over other battery chemistries, great for those Astronomers on the go.

SkyAlign alignment technology makes setting up a computerized telescope simple, fast, and accurate. Just point the telescope at any three bright objects — stars, bright planets, or even the Moon — and your telescope can orient itself with the night sky.

    Compatible Technology

    Celestron SkyPortal

Celestron’s SkyPortal planetarium app is an astronomy suite that redefines how you experience the night sky. Explore the Solar System, thousands of stars, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, asteroids, comets, and satellites. You can even control and automatically align a compatible Celestron telescope from a smartphone or tablet using StarSense and WiFi technology.

    Starsense Technology

Celestron’s patented StarSense Technology makes it easier than ever to locate objects in the night sky, even if you’ve never used a telescope before. Turn it on and push ‘Align.’ In about three minutes, you’re ready to observe!

    Celestron 9.25 NexStar Evolution

My first outing, I found Jupiter and Saturn easily. Alignment went well after I figured out that I needed to take my phone off of auto sleep for the duration. The gear drives functioned flawlessly, and the battery power provided by the lithium phosphate battery is more than enough for a full viewing session. I’m setting funds aside now for a zoom lens and more powerful lens with more elements. This scope was exactly what I expected and has performed perfectly. OPT is my vendor of choice.
