A superb instrument!

I just received this telescope last week, and so far I've only had one opportunity to take it outside. The experience was excellent, though! I've used a smaller Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope for the past 20 years, and each outing has gobbled up a lot of time with initial setup and alignment, and with that time, some of the patience of my family observers. This new scope with StarSense 'did its thing' in just a few minutes, and we were observing! I ran it off the SkyPortal app on my iPhone, and we easily found interesting objects in our limited sky view, and my kids got a kick out of the app's ability to offer descriptions out loud. The optics are exceptional, the build quality solid, and it was just a great first outing with our new scope. We're anxious for another clear night to do it again!

Great for a Youth Astronomy Program

We bought this scope to add to our youth astronomy program. It is excellent and easy for our students to set up and use. The quality is great, and our students love exploring the night sky with it.

Excellent telescope!

The Celestron NexStar Evolution 8” Edge HD with StarSense is fun and easy to use. I like how I can control the telescope with my smartphone. The StarSense camera quickly aligns the telescope. The optics are really good! Very happy that I bought this Celestron telescope.

Celestron NexStar Evolution 8" EdgeHD with StarSense

I was fairly amazed by the ease of using this thing. I was easily able to just find and look at Saturn and Jupiter without any issues first try. The moon was even cooler to look at the next night.
