Celestron NexImage 10 Color Solar System Imager

The Celestron NexImage 10, Color Solar System Imager is a full-color imager with a 3856 x 2764 pixel array.

So you're interested in giving astroimaging a try- but where to start? There are so many excellent options that sometimes, choosing a place to begin can be the hardest part of the imaging process. Celestron invented the NexImage 10 to make that easy by designing the camera meant to be perfect for the avid observer making their first step into astroimaging. Using the USB 3.0 interface for maximum speed, this camera boasts a wide array of quality features meant to make the transition from observation into imaging that much easier- ranging from inbuilt image processing software that is clean and simple onward to full color capacities without worrying about filters, to a design meant to be easy to install onto a telescope.

Meant primarily for planetary imaging, this camera is perfect for use with shorter focal range telescopes to provide stunning levels of planetary detail. The NexImage 10 is a full-color planetary imaging camera that boasts over ten million individual pixels and high-speed data transmission, with each individual pixel a super small 1.67 micron pixels in size. Best of all, the NexImage 10 includes everything you need to get started, including Celestron's easy-to-use software suite. The iCap capture software and RegiStax stacking software are the same powerful programs included with Celestron's high-end Skyris cameras.

Due to the inbuilt software suite, imaging is a matter of simply pointing your telescope at the Moon or a planet of your choice and recording a quick video. The software analyzes each frame of this video, throws away the fuzzy frames, and perfectly aligns the remaining images for you. The result is a bright, clear image with the maximum amount of color and detail. NexImage 10 is a great way to get started with astroimaging, especially if you live in a light-polluted area. If you can see the planet in the sky, you can image it with NexImage 10!
