The T-POD metal tripods from Avalon Instruments have been designed to revolutionize the world of portable astronomy with the style and function that Avalon manages to transfer to astronomy products. Made entirely of anodized aluminum with stainless steel screws, the T-POD has low weight and high stability making it the ideal companion for traveling observers and Astro-photographers. The Avalon T-Pods are available in three sizes and capacities: The T-110 and T-130 with 100 kg (220-pounds) of load capacity. Even with these remarkable capacities, the T-110 model weighs only 15 pounds.
The built-in spreader system allows the tripod to be quickly and easily opened, while the double-deck locks including bubble makes it easy to level the tripod and ensures exceptional stability. The base of the legs can be equipped with ground to earth or soft tips for hard surfaces. In addition, tripods are equipped with a convenient handle for easy transport.
While conceived for the Avalon M - Uno, linear and future M - Zero mounts, the T - 110 and T - 130 models are also compatible with the supports, including the AP Mach - 1; Sky-Watcher / Orion EQ6 / Atlas and AZEQ6 / Atlas Pro AZEQ - G, Celestron CGEM, Losmandy G11, Takahashi EM200, Vixen SXV / SXD / SXP / SXD2 and other media, while the T - 90, will be compatible with media, including the Sky-Watcher / Orion EQ - 5 / HEQ5 / Sirius, Celestron CG - 5 / AVX, Takahashi EM10, Vixen GP / GPD2, and others.
