  • The ZWO Electronic 8-Position Filter Wheel holds up to eight (8) 1.25-inch mounted or 31 mm unmounted filters. If using 31 mm filters, these can be held in place using the included set of screws and washers from ZWO.

    Machined from black anodized, aircraft-grade aluminum, the ZWO EFW8 is sure to be an exceptional and reliable addition to your astrophotography system. This filter wheel weighs just under one pound (14 ounces) and is only 20 mm thick, making this an extremely low profile piece of your imaging train.

    Features of the ZWO Electronic 8 Position Filter Wheel

    • The power consumption of this EFW is approximately 120mAh @ 5V, which can be operated from the Cooled CCD's USB hub.
    • It can be rotated in both counterclockwise or clockwise direction for filter selection.
    • Weighs only 14 ounces.

I love this filter wheel

I’ve been using a manual wheel and I usually had to refocus and align the camera after each filter change. This EFW is quiet and smooth and takes the hassle out of swapping filters. I fit my LRGB filters plus the Ha, OIII and SO in it. I should have bought this a long time ago. OPT shipped it pretty fast and well packaged. I get most of my gear through them.

Works great. Needed it for LRGBHOSD and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another if I ever needed it.

Holy 8x1.25 Batman!

This EFW works great paired with the ASIAir Pro and ASI183MM! Really enjoying it only problem now is figuring out what to put in the 8th slot haha 😂

Quick upgrade from 5position efw

Shipped very quick. Replaced my old zwo 5 position EFW in 10min. Narrow band filters and LRGB all in one now. Plugged and up in function flawlessly.

Great wheel

This is my second 8 position EFW. Now I don't have to open up the wheel and swap filters between imaging for planets (L,R,G,B,NIR642,NIR742,NIR807,UVenus) or imaging for deep space (L,R,G,B,Ha,O3,S2). Each wheel has the right filters for the type of imaging. I had the first EFW for several years, they work great.
