Radian Telescopes 14-Inch Universal D-Style Dovetail Bar
All New Slot & Bolt Pattern
The Radian Telescopes 14-Inch Universal D-Style Dovetail Bar was completely redesigned to fit with any tube ring system. Unlike other brands, this dovetail bar uses mirrored angle slots to accommodate the width of the bolt pattern found on the most common tube rings. For the extra wide bolt patterns found on Astrophysics, TEC and Parallax rings, this dovetail bar has eight wide-spaced counterbored holes. The bar also features eighteen tapped 1/4-20 holes, 16 non-threaded holes, and four 5/16-18 Holes to bolt your hardware from the top of the plate downward.
Thicker Shoulders for Less Flexure
The Radian Telescopes 14-Inch Universal D-Style Dovetail Bar is thicker than most mass-produced dovetail bars. It is machined from solid aluminum stock to have a 14.4mm shoulder which will prevent any mechanical flexure. This extra thickness performs so well it can hold larger SCTs in set of tube rings.
Balance Point Markings
Balancing your telescope on your mount can be an annoying and time consuming process. The Radian Telescopes 14-Inch Universal Dovetail Bar makes this easier with its incremental marking on each side. One side has markings in centimeters while the other has markings in half inch increments.

Much too heavy for lighter setups such as mine. Had to return it and the other pieces recommended by OPT. Was trying to add finderscope but it requires so many heavy pieces that scope couldn’t balance properly.
Purchased this for my Orion ED80 Refractor, and with all the imaging accessories I just didn't feel safe with the provided tiny mounting foot, or even a ***** style dovetail. This works great, and although may seem like overkill for such a small OTA, better safe than sorry. Believe me, I've been on that sorry side before.
Sturdy build and attached to my OTA rings with no issues.
Didn’t need it, can’t use it. Bought in a rush, it was grouped together with scope as “recommended”, it doesn’t fit my set up. A 90$ mistake, need one?
