    PORTABLE AND EASY TO USE

With a compact design and weighing less than 2 lb, the Mini Track LX2 NS can go with you anywhere. It easily mounts on any photo tripod (via 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch thread), and the included ball-head lets you attach your camera. The mount holds up to 4.4 lb of equipment, perfect for your wide-angle camera setup. The Mini Track is extremely compact and needs no accessories such as a counterweight because it's already been built-in, in the form of a spring system. As your camera starts to be tracked, the spring both supports the weight and looks after the tracking.

great compact gadget

A great compact, light-weight, and very affordable gadget to avoid star trailing when taking wide-field, longer exposure pictures. Straightforward to set up out of the box (see the attached no-track/track pictures for a first quick 60s exposure experiment on a cloudy night when the box arrived). Highly recommended. The only tiny minor point is that the polar "finder" tube is not easy on the eye, so I will replace that with an actual finder scope.

Works Remarkably Well

I was concerned about the simple polar scope, but it was surprisingly easy to use. My only complaint is the frighteningly loud noise when the timer has reached the end.
