What are UBVRI filters?

UBVRI Filters are a set of five optical filters used to analyze stars. They measure the brightness of stars in different colors (ultraviolet, blue, visual, red and infrared) which allows astronomers to determine their temperature and other characteristics. They are usually placed on top of a telescope or camera lens before capturing an image.

What wavelength range is covered by the UBVRI filters?

The UBVRI Filters cover a wavelength range of 320 to 1000 nanometers which includes ultraviolet, blue, visual, red and infrared radiation.
