Great Camera
There is a learning curve with the mono cameras, but it is worth it. The weight difference between the ASI178MM compared to a DSLR is better for my smaller scope and mount. With the bigger scopes and goto mount I'm not as concerned about the camera falling off the scope as the mount slews. With this little camera it's much fast to get your subs over the amount of exposure time that is required for a DSLR. I compared the cost of this scope with buying a DSLR and turning it into a dedicated astro camera. It's a couple hunderd for the camera (used) and hoping to get one that still works. Then the process of removing the IR filter and not ******** it up. Well, for me the choice was clear. OPT was really fast with the shipping, too.

ZWO ASI178MM
Very nice camera. Easy to set-up and good images immediately. I was agreably surprised to receive an all-sky lens with the camera that is nice for first tests and could be useable further.
ZWO guide camera
Great service from OPT as usual, recommended for any astrophotographer.
Works really well
I haven't tried anything fancy yet, but the camera works as expected. When I bought it I saw that it was marketed as a planetary camera, but that doesn't do it any justice. It also works really well for deep space objects. Now if I only can get the tracking of my Nexstar 6se to behave.
Very pleased with the service and product
The camera I ordered came earlier than I had hoped for. The service at OPT is very good.
First planetary camera
I have not a good clear night sky, but even at poor atmospheric conditions I took a few excellent photos of some clusters , orion nebula and of course the moon. I am learning to use it. Optcorp has a excellent customer service. I am from Mexico and I was attended in Spanish, great!!. I hope upgrade my equatorial mount soon. Clear Sky's from Mexico!!!
