Great Camera
Great camera for the price. Impressed with the quality. Delivery was very quick. Would recommend the camera and purchase through OPT.

Amazing pics that blow me away every time.
Amazing camera for what I’m doing. I don’t even think I’ve begun to unlock its capabilities as a beginner. My planet pic have been great. My alt-az mount hampers my ability to take DSO pics, but I have gotten 60 second exposures of the ring nebula and Andromeda that blew my mind (and helped me pull the trigger on a EQ mount and guide scope).

ASI120MC-S review
Have just began using the ASI120MC-S camera. Easy to use, but including S/W details would be a big help.

My first guidescope
Camera was very easy to setup on my computer. Since it comes with an included lens it's easy to test things are working properly. Getting it onto my telescope was a different story. I suggest hooking up to telescope as primary or guide camera in the daytime first. Wasted 2 nights trying to get the focus right. In daylight, it was easy. Another lesson learned. I thought i could screw this directly into my telescopes (Skywatcher 80ED) T-ring (without using the included camera nose piece). It does not have nearly enough backfocus to work. The only way i could view with telescope is attaching the star diagonal, and using the camera like a lens. I don't like this setup, but it works fine. Still trying to get the software for the guide scope working. It is my first guide scope and still learning how to use PHD2. I should of read the PHD2 manual first! Haven't gotten any images of planets or DSO with it yet, but testing in daylight on birds, squirrels, trees. I was pretty amazed by the video resolution. I'm glad I got the color camera for this reason.

good product quick delivery
encountered no issues with product or delivery. Camera installed easily on my laptop and works great.

ASI120-S Useage
Arrived quickly and worked fine. USB3 connection to a local laptop is very fast. Connection to a desktop computer via a 15 meter USB2 active extension cable worked fine. Works well as a guider on a 210 mm FL guide scope.
