The four inch riser with a Telrad sticks out. Be careful going through doors. Have already knocked mine off one time. Didn't hurt the Telrad but broke one of the screws. The riser does work well.
I use this riser to lift the Telrad finder off my telescope OTA enough to use it in conjunction with my 8x50 finder scope (to its immediate left). The height is perfect to keep me from having to bend my neck in some awkward acrobatic fashion or hug my telescope to view straight through the Telrad. The riser is sturdy and fits snugly into the standard Telrad base, so no drilling or other actions had to be accomplished to use it immediately.
