Stellarvue F60M2 - 10 X 60 Deluxe Finderscope - Matte Black

The F60M2 Deluxe 10x60 Finder Scope by Stellarvue:

Are you looking for one of the best finder scopes on the market? Then take a look at all the features the Stellarvue F60M2 Deluxe 10x60 Finder Scope has to offer. Let's begin with a generous 60 mm (2.4-inch) aperture consisting of a fully multi-coated doublet object. The fast focal length (f/3.75) and extra aperture provides a wide field of view and greater reach, but the finderscope remains light in weight (only about 23-ounces) and works with Stellarvue's standard 50 mm ring systems At the other end is an image correct 90-degree erecting prism backed up by a 1.25-inch helical focuser with rubber grip, and a high quality fully coated eyepiece with large eye lens and cross-hair reticle. Both the eyepiece and the reticle may be focused and other conventional 1.25-inch eyepieces may be used. The finder will accommodate various standard 1.25-inch eyepieces. Most Naglers, Panoptics, Plossls, and Kellners will come to focus. Certain eyepieces that are not parfocal with standard designs may not come to focus but this is the exception, not the rule. Unlike many finders that use inexpensive slide tube focusers or require screwing and unscrewing the objective to reach focus, the Stellarvue can be focused to accommodate different people thanks to its helical focuser. Merely turn the rubber grip to attain focus.

The eyepiece supplied with the Stellarvue F60M2 Deluxe 10x60 Finder Scope is a high quality, fully multi-coated, 23 mm wide field eyepiece with 22 mm of eye relief and a large eye lens. This eyepiece features a fine-focusing cross hair reticle, and accepts the Rigel PulseGuide Illuminator (sold separately under Accessories). In addition, several mounting ring systems are now available for the F50 finders. This allows many different brand telescopes to accommodate the Stellarvue F60M2 Deluxe 10x60 Finder Scope using standard dovetails. Our mounting rings use a dovetail rail with a safety stop. This rail slides into a dovetail base or a stalk for many different mounting combinations. Choose the proper mounting ring system from those listed in the Accessories, or add to your existing bracket for a 50 mm finder!

Stellarvue F60M2 Deluxe 10x60 Finder Scope Features:

  • Rubber-grip helical focusing ring.
  • Accepts alternative 1.25-inch eyepieces.
  • Compatible with a huge array of mounts.
  • Included 23 mm eyepiece has outstanding eye relief!

Great Finder

This is a fantastic, high performance, well made, and nice looking finder. I bought it for my AP155 and use the AP bracket originally for the Baader finder which makes for a great combination. The only reason I docked this finder 1/2 star is that the rubber grip around the helical focuser slips a little, which is very minor in my opinion. The fit and finish on this finder matches the optical performance- first class. Stars get a bit less sharp towards the edge of the field but that's what should be expected at less than f4. And the ability to use other 1.25 eyepieces is very cool. Finally, thanks for the great customer service, OPT!

Excellent

This is an excellent finder. The larger objective really pulls in the sky and adds detail and contrast. The fit and finish is the typical high Stellar Vue quality. A bonus is that the finder fits in SVs 50mm ring mount, so you don't need a giant set of rings to mount this. The helical focuser and changeable eyepiece only add to the utility of this scope. It doesn't look too bad mounted on your scope, either!
