• This Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Latitude Equatorial Base is an accessory for the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Mount. This Latitude Equatorial Base is intended to mount between your tripod and the Star Adventurer Multi-Function Mount. You should purchase this accessory if you intend to align your Star Adventurer Mount to the celestial pole in order to perform sidereal tracking of celestial objects.

  Increased Versatility for the Star Adventurer

  Using this, you have the ability to adjust the latitude and azimuth of the system for correct polar alignment. This Latitude Equatorial Base by Sky-Watcher adjusts from 0-degree latitude to 70-degree latitude. By turning the Horizontal Adjustment knob, you can make adjustments to the azimuth position. There is an included bubble level to assist in leveling the base. You will need to align the Star Adventurer Multi-Function Mount to the pole if you want to use it to do accurate sidereal tracking.

  This Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Latitude Equatorial Base can be installed on a tripod or other mount with a 3/8" bolt. The mounting plate then will connect easily to the Star Adventurer Multi-Function Mount. There is a stop screw included which prevents the mount from sliding off the Equatorial Base before you have tightened the lock knob.
