- star tracker
If you're starting out in this hobby, a tracker is a must, and really there are only 2 options. Yes, compared to other astro equipment it is relatively cheap, and if you have a DSLR, and a lense you're set. For me not so lucky, still need to afford a good ultra zoom lense for astro to capture thos DSA, or a telescope either way it's an expensive hobby. I would still recommend getting this stacker first, easy to set up, comes with everything you need(minus DSLR, tripod, lense or telescope, and an intervalometer this last one is also important) and if your still unsure there are a lot off YouTubers who are experts on how to get this working easily. clear sky's everyone!
This product is great. I was up and running the first night. I didn't bother with the huge manual, but looked up setup videos on Youtube. 400mm pictures for 2 mins with sharp pictures is a dream.
Great service from OPT, and fast delivery of the Sky-Watcher Star adventurer2i Pro. Used it on my vacation to the Eastern Sierras. easy to put together and use. Still learning the finer points of it. Thank You OPT staff
Everything was great, Nice talking to a person right away instead of listening to music for an hour. Got my Adventurer Pro the very next day at a great price. So far you can’t beat OPT. Thank you guys!!
Probably the weakest component of this star tracker is the wedge. I replaced mine with a Williams Optics wedge like many folks on youtube. I also modified it a little by adding a little shim on the tightening screws and it seemed to make it more stable.
Haven't used it yet but am sure it will be awesome.
