  • The QuikFinder Illuminated Reticle Red Bullseye Reflex Sight by Rigel Systems:

Do you have trouble seeing through a traditional illuminated reticle finderscope? Then consider the unique upright design of the Rigel QuickFinder. This new breed of reflex sight allows you to use both eyes on its wide-open right-side-up viewing screen. Both eyes means seeing fainter stars! Does your telescope's configuration make it impossible to mount a large red bullseye finderscope? Then look at the Rigel QuikFinder. About 1/10 the size and weight of traditional reflex sights, the QuikFinder will measure up to your needs!

Thanks to the Rigel QuickFinder adjustable brightness controls, it's easier than ever to take aim at the stars. Take a look inside this rugged construction LED screen and you'll find a projection of 2-degree and 1-degree concentric red circles against an unmagnified background. Rather than charge you for an additional feature, the Rigel QuickFinder reflex sight comes equipped with a pulsed or continuous illumination of the reticle. Star-hopping with any telescope now becomes easier with a visual reference on where the optics are aimed. What's more, the Rigel QuikFinder clips on and off its base - meaning no tools and adjustment screws to fumble with in the dark! Just take a look a what separates the QuikFinder from the competitors

Rigel QuikFinder Reflex Sight Extra Features:

Used this before and it is just fine

I’ve used these finders at a local college on an 11” Dob. It works great. Because it is used by students, things can happen. Once the base was dis- lodged and I couldn’t figure out for a while why I was s far off. But, they’re fairly easy to align which makes it great. The laser pattern can be intermittent and that is good as well when you need to find the faint ones. The laser pattern can overpower the faint target. So just set the blinking to the timing you like. Great! Also, the height of the finder makes it easier to get behind to view. There is nothing worse than trying to push your face against the side of the scope and turn your neck in an uncomfortable position just to find a target. It does not solve the zenith neck scrunch, but it is better.

    Works perfectly

I rarely need a visual finder since I have an ST80/SSAG piggyback as a finder scope. But occasionally, due to operator error, my first alignment star may be outside its FOV so rather than just search around, I prefer to simply adjust the goto using the visual finder. I've used other red-dot style finders in the past (won't mention them here) but the QuikFinder is by far the best I've ever used. Well-built, easy to align - and keep aligned - and the concentric circles are much easier to use than placing a red dot on top of the star. More than adequate brightness at night although some have complained about it being too dim in daylight - to which I say: it's used at NIGHT! Might be a bit cumbersome to remove from its base when I need to replace the battery but since I rarely use it, the battery should last a long time - assuming I remember to turn it off after use - but that's an issue with any red-dot finder. Comes with two bases so you can move it to another scope if you wish. Overall - highly recommended!

    Rigel Quikfinder

Rigel has improved the product from its original design. Works better than my old one but I wish that they offered an adapter to fit the base to standard Celestron finder mount.
