Amazing value

This tripod is amazing value. We have 3 high tripods by Really Right Stuff. They are great, and the one of comparable size feels a little bit more stable/secure than this Radian. But, we are talking a very subtle difference between the two. The RRS tripods go for 3x this price. I can hang a bag on the hook on the bottom of this tripod and it will be as stable as any RRS product. It is also amazingly light weight compared the RRS. Finally, I have used it with a star tracker and discovered a very cool feature. When doing polar alignment if your mount is off a little bit you can release the locking lever on the base. Then you can simply rotate the plate and your star tracker is now pointed north and you do not have to re-adjust the legs on the tripod to re-establish a level tripod base. Plus, it comes with a high quality bag. A comparable product from RRS retails for $100. I really recommend this tripod for pretty much any needs - astronomy or photography. So happy that I found this product though I wish I knew about it sooner in life.

Best Tripod I’ve ever owned

This is the lightest and smoothest tripod I’ve ever owned.

Solid and steady shooting tripod

This tripod appears to be the same as what Vortex is selling at 1/3rd the price. Running the DL44 ballhead and hog saddle and it is very steady. The 3 leg extensions when full extended are eye level (I’m 6’5”), and with the 3 leg angle adjustments and 3 leg extension adjustments you have pretty much every shot height/position covered from prone to kneeling to seated to standing. The weight/feel isn’t the same “heft” as the RRS, but it is also 1/5th or less of the RRS price. THe overall weight of tripod, ballhead and hog saddle is nearly 8 lbs, so it is defnitely NOT a backpack setup, however, it should work fine for shots where there is a short hike.

I think it is a very good tripod.

What I like most about this Radian tripod is its height with the legs fully expanded. I am average height and with my Star Adventurer 2i mounted, I can look through the polar scope with ease. The tripod is constructed very well and it looks good too. I am very happy with this purchase and will likely add another to my astrophotography equipment. Thank you.

Radian Tripod -- Proper legs for a Stellina

Very pleased with the Radian tripod for my Stellina. Disconnect the short legs from the scope and pop it onto the Radian...same connector fits both. The Radian is light, sturdy, and relatively inexpensive...perfect! Alex
