This back illuminated CMOS camera provides you long exposure and high power full color imaging capability at a great value. From the high sensitivity IMX290 sensor to the 128MB DDRII Image buffer to the high power cooling system, this camera is stuffed chock full of useful and valuable features.
The back illuminated architecture of the sensor maximizes the light that reaches each pixel, providing a great amount of raw data for your camera to work with. The issue of noise this might otherwise produce has been negated by Sony's design in the sensor; a unique photo-diode structure and on-chip lens minimizes the issue of noise while honing the sensitivity even higher.
This camera also benefits from a 128mb DDR Buffer which assists with the image transfer between your camera and your computer for processing, minimizing lost data and aiding transfer stability. It smooths things out in general, and enhances the processing performance of your camera.
The cooling system is a two stage TEC that manages a rate of on average -40 degrees celsius below ambient. It requires 12v of power to fully operate
