The QHY 174 Coldmos Cooled Monochrome CMOS Camera is useful for imaging occultations, eclipses, meteors, nebula, and planets.With its extremely low read noise, High Quantum efficiency, deep cooling, and fast frame rates, this camera performs exceptionally well for planetary and deep space imaging.
The QHY174M has a dual-stage thermo-electric cooling unit that will bring sensor temperatures down to -45C below the ambient temperature. It also features an anti-moisture control system that includes heated optical window and removable desiccant for the sensor chamber. The camera has a 4-pin QHYCFW2 filter wheel control port and a 6-pin autoguider port. The QHY174 also has an anti-amp glow function which reduces the IMX174 sensor amplifier glow shown in long exposures.
The QHY174M has a 12MB DDR buffer which will prevent dropped frames and run multiple cameras without USB transfer problems. With the 12MB DDR buffer, you are able to capture still images or video footage without data being lost or corrupted.
For more than a decade QHY has been designing cooled cameras and applied all of their knowledge to the QHY174 camera. The full anti-dew technology includes a sealed CMOS chamber with silicon gel tube socket and a heated chamber optical window. These features prevent dew from forming on the sensor and the chamber window allowing your to image in cold and humid environments.
