I have the Celestron C6A-XLT OTA, and left the lens cap off one COLD night. Consequently ice developed on the corrector plate, and after it dissipated an dried, water spots were left. Will this kit take care of that problem ?
As long as the water spotting happened recently (within the last month or so) and the included written directions are followed the Doc Clay Kit should be able to clean the corrector plate without an issue.

Yes, this can be used for mirrors as well as long as you are careful. On older mirrors, the aluminum can flake off if you clean too vigorously. On another note, never trust the flashlight test. It always makes optics look terrible. It is highly like
