Meade f/6.3 Series 4000 Focal Reducer/Field Flattener
Threaded on to the telescope's rear cell, the f/6.3 Series 4000 Focal Reducer/Field Flattener by Meade reduces the main telescope's focal ratio by a factor of 0.63 (e.g. from f/10 to f/6.3). It can be used for visual work when the user desires a wider field of view, or when placed in front of a CCD imager, #62 T-Adapter or Off-Axis Guider and camera body, the f/6.3 reducer produces photographic exposure times by about 50-percent. Designed primarily for f/10 and f/15 LX-series models, the Focal Reducer can also be used photographically and in CCD imaging applications with f/6.3 SCT's, resulting in an effective focal ratio of f/4.
An important advancement in high-resolution focal reduction systems, the Meade 4-element, multi-coated f/6.3 Focal Reducer/Field Flattener threads on to the rear cell of any LX90, LX200 or other Schmidt-Cassegrain or Advanced Coma-Free model and is typically used with an Off-Axis Guider or T-Adapter. Reduces the telescope's focal ratio by a factor of 0.63: f/10 telescopes are converted to f/6.3. Simultaneously, the 41 mm-diameter lens system helps flatten the field of Schmidt-Cassegrain models, significantly improving edge-of-field corrections.
This handy accessory enables a reduction of photographic exposure times by about 50-percent, while producing an actual field diameter of 1.5-inch at the film plane. Use of this focal reducer is not recommended for 35 mm photography or larger CCD chips with Meade Advanced Coma-Free (ACF) models as field correction is not needed.

Will this work with the 10" LX90 ACF? What is the Focal Length (mm) and Focal ratio to focal Plane in mm?
Unfortunately, this is a focal reducer/corrector and only works with standard SCT scopes, not the newer ACF design. The back focus of the reducer is 105mm for 0.63x magnification, giving a reducer focal length of 284mm.
Will this work with an ETX-90? (I have the adapter for mating an SCT female thread accessory to the ETX rear port threads).
If you have the ETX to SCT adapter, this focal reducer will work with the ETX-90.
