This refracting telescope has an integrated white light solar filter that may be removed if you wish to use the telescope for night time visual astronomy as well. This means that you can utilize this compact and highly portable refracting telescope freely for both night and daytime astronomy. Please keep in mind that for safe solar use, the filter must be inserted, so if you have removed it for nighttime use be sure to check and make sure you replaced the filter securely before making daytime use of the telescope. In combination with the included X2 Barlow these eyepieces drastically improve the versatility of your telescope.
Safety Note: Before engaging in any solar astronomy, please be sure to check to make sure your solar filter is completely secure within the telescope, and that it is not removed. The Solar Filter is essential for your safety when engaging in Solar Astronomy, and you should never attempt solar astronomy without the filter inserted.
