Several months ago I purchased my Lunt 80mm HaPT/BF1200 Telescope. I am very happy with what can offer me this jewel. With the ZAO-16 the entire view of the sun is brilliant, crisp and contrasty, full of amount details on the surface and the prominences and flares are also able to seeing at same time thanks to the PT. The pressure tune works fine, smoothly and can keep the pressure perfectly even a month. It's also a great telescope for solar imagen. The telescope comes well protected on the carrying case and both the TV sol-searcher also Lunt zoom eyepiece works perfectly. Secondly, OPT as usual from them made a perfect job, given perfect selling support. Many thanks Jason and Craig. Iñaki Lizaso astrosurf.com/ilizaso
I had a PST Solar scope, but just wasn't satisfied due to its "sweet spot" issues and the focuser. I liked it for portability and price, however. After reading various online reviews, especially by Stephen Ramsden, interacting on line with other owners of H Alpha telescopes, talking to OPT and Rikki at Lunt, I decided that this Lunt 80 with pressure tuning and 1200 blocking filter and Crayford focuser was what I wanted. It was actually in stock at OPT, so I ordered it and had it in a week (shipping time to Ohio). It is very well made, gives superior views of the Sun, sweet spot issues are negligible. I needed a more sturdy mount than the one I used with the PST, and ordered the Celestron CG-4, which works very well for this telescope. Other members at my local astronomy club were all very impressed by it, and the majority opinion was that I would never need to double stack it. It is still light enough that, with the mount, I can carry it from the garage to driveway for immediate viewing. I use it primarily for visual, but it's good for photography, too. Attached photos, taken with modestly priced ZWO cameras, show some good results.
