IDEA Engineering Meade to ***** Finder Adapter

I have a 2004 12” Meade LX200GPS SCT and decided to upgrade the stock finder scope to a new Meade 6000 50mm guide scope. To my chagrin Meade changed the mounts completely. Of course the new bracket that came with the mounting scope had a different hole pattern altogether. Upon some research I landed here with the IDEA Engineering solution to my problem. On the stock Meade bracket there’s a small stop pin to stop the guide/finder scope from dropping out the back. The recess on the IDEA solution was slightly off, but a small amount of filing allowed the pin to drop in. My adapter also had been upgraded from a single thumb screw to 2 one on each side which I really like (OPT pic only shows one screw.) The entire installation is quite high, but I think it all will work out just fine. I’m very impressed with the high quality and machining of this adapter despite the small alignment hiccup. I’d highly recommend this product if you find yourself in the same situation I found myself in! OPT processed the order immediately and I received it in just 2 days via USPS.

Needed an adapter for guiding on my ES 127

The item I purchased was a perfect fit and allowed me to autoguide with a proper set of scopes and cameras , it was a painpoint as the ES 127 had a spotting scope only and no way to connect a camera to it. And had this proprietary mini ***** connection
