Explore Scientific Firstlight EXOS-2GT White Mount with Go-To
The Firstlight EXOS-2GT White Mount with Go-To from Explore Scientific is a great choice for someone taking the step into astrophotography after some time as an astronomer. It provides full Go-To capabilities with a huge 272,994 object database of potential targets to be guided to with minimal struggle or hardship.
All that you need to do to assemble your full system, is choose a optional telescope and camera, and then engage in a very simple 1, 2, or 3-star alignment procedure to orient the scope for tracking and finding objects. And from there, it's all a matter of enjoying the views and whatever procedures your camera requires.
The mount comes with a dependable stainless steel tripod that can fully support the mount with its full weight capacity in use.

Fixed the problem
This is my third review if this mount, After three months of frustration I finally got this mount to perform as advertised, this is now a very accurate go-to mount ,just be aware that a different power source is necessary. The folks at explore scientific where really great once the problem was discovered and remedied. Now this mount is within exceptable tolerences. that all being said this is a fine mount for the price point.
Well after many nights of pure frustration I am forced to revise my opinion of this mount, after a very careful leveling of the mount and a equally careful balancing of scope , it still won't track correctly, the single double and triple star alignments have left me frustrated and feeling robbed, I cannot in good conscience recommend this mount to anyone. It is rated for 28 lbs and my payload wieghts 12.5 well below the half way point. But I have yet to use this mount and I have been trying for 3 months now. I can't afford a better mount so I am tempted to just give up on the idea, it has cost me to much money for no return. I don't blame explore scientific , it is just a lemon mount.

Using opt was great , the product was lacking any instructions, but after an email they sent me a link. You would think at that price point it would have come with instructions.
