Used Celestron 14" Schmidt-Cassegrain OTA w/ CGE Mount Plate - Fastar Compatible - SOLDThe Celestron 355.6 mm (14 Inch) Schmidt-Cassegrain OTA w/ CGE Mount Plate - Fastar Compatible is available individually to be used with your favorite mount. This Celestron 14 Inch Schmidt-Cassegrain is a great choice. Each OTA in this series is made to the same exacting standards as those used on all their high-quality telescopes. All optical surfaces are coated with StarBright XLT coatings. These tube assemblies are equipped with the same dovetail mounting bar as used on the CGE series for easy attachment to a variety of popular mounts (see below).
With over three times the light gathering power of an 8 Inch telescope, this observatory-class instrument is Celestron's largest optical system in its class. The 14 Inch takes full advantage of the vast database of thousands of NGC and Abell galaxies as well as delivering a new level of detail to all your favorite deep sky objects. Turn this scope to the planets and see amazing detail on the surface of Jupiter; see Cassini's Division in the rings of Saturn, and resolve details on the surface of Mars. The Celestron C14 is Celestron's first new Schmidt-Cassegrain optical system in over a decade. The new 14 Inch Schmidt-Cassegrain features a precision optical system, a 3910 mm focal length (f/11), and comes standard with Celestron's StarBright XLT coatings at no extra cost.
Please Note: This optical tube assembly comes with a CGE size dovetails and will attach to mounts such as the Celestron CGEM/CGEM II, CGX, CGX-L, Losmandy, AP, etc.
