Chroma 1.25" H-alpha 5nm Filter

The Chroma 1.25-inch H-alpha 5 nm Narrowband Filter is essential for imaging objects, like nebulae, that are rich in ionized hydrogen atoms. These line emission filters work extremely well in heavy light polluted areas and allow you image on nights when the moon is up.

Chroma manufactures the highest quality astronomy filters with durable, sputtered hard coating using single substrates of the best glass, eliminating the need for laminations. All primary filter coatings are applied on the front surface and anti-reflection coatings on the rear surface to prevent ghosting and to maximize transmission.

Highly precise and accurate, the pass-bands of these filters remain spectrally stable and do not drift in response to extreme temperature fluctuations or changes in humidity.

ASI EFW8, Chroma 3nm SHO narrowband filters

stuff arrived, mostly happy, but: 1) ASI EFW was clearly opened before, fingerprints, and T2-T2 adapter missing. don’t need that adapter, but….. 2) Green filter (bought some weeks ago): someone has sneezed on that thing. seemed in original package but it was SPRAYED! didn’t expect that…. 3) and this info is more for CHROMA: the little paper containers have a lining that “sheds”: all filters had several fibers of that material on them, which blew off easy enough still that was annoying… EFW and filters otherwise flawless, the CHROMAs are actually spectacular Thanks
