Easy to do assembly (although not too much there). I had to order a better eye piece as the one that came with it isn’t too strong.

Telescope arrived quickly. Set up was easy. My son has been enjoying it almost every night. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a not so basic beginner telescope.

It was good. There needs to be a little more instructions for people who know less than expected by the writers. Those that know more can skip over simple items. As I learn more, the experience is getting better.

So far, this telescope has been great. Easier to set up and align than I thought it would be. Still learning the catalog, but the identify function is dead on. I’ve found the finder maintains alignment very well and had no trouble locating objects to view.
Definitely needs external power; 8 AA batteries are the bare minimum and alignment with just those is problematical. With Celestron's power tank, though, it works great! I bought it for use on the Moon, planets and bright double stars from my light polluted front yard and it's just the ticket for carrying out to the driveway for an hour or two's viewing before bed. Two trips gets everything: scope and tripod, power tank, eyepiece case and a chair. Computer drive is very accurate and with careful alignment almost everything ends up in the field of view of a wide field eyepiece. This scope is a lot of fun and very easy at showing the moon and planets to neighbors.
