    Baader Q 2.25X Barlow Lens - 1.25"

    Baader Q 2.25X Barlow Lens - 1.25"

The Classic Q-Barlow has been optically matched to the Baader Classic Eyepieces, and its 2.25X magnification gives a well spaced set of focal lengths. It's removable lens cell can also be unthreaded from the 1.25" barrel, and directly threaded onto any of the eyepieces to give 1.3X, further filling in the choice of focal lengths. Alternatively, it can be directly threaded onto the 1.25" barrel of the Q-Turret to give 2.25X with all 4 eyepieces.

    Questions & Answers

    Ask a Question
    • Can this Barlow be threaded into a Binocular Viewer like the Celestron model ?

Thank you for your question. I tried this on a William Optics binoviewer to see if it would thread on & it will not. This will likely be the same result if you were to try it on the Celestron binoviewers as I have tried threading this on many different ey

    • Can a Barlow lens be used with this scope?

Yes, as long as it is used after the blocking filter (just before the eyepiece).

    • Will this barlow also work with other brands of EPs, or only with Baader?

Thank you for your question. I have tried this on various different eyepieces & it appears that this will only work on the Baader eyepieces so if you buy this for an eyepiece that is not made by Baader, it may not work.

    • What is the minor axis size of the diagonal mirror in the Orion 8" F/4.9?

Thank you for your question. I was able to measure the size of the secondary mirror on this telescope & it is 2" in diameter on the minor axis.

    • will this work with a celestron edgehd 8 and cannon dslr?

It may work for shooting smaller objects, but there are some limitations on using this barlow with this configuration: 1) This is a 1.25" barlow so it will vignette the sensor on your DSLR. Even if you remove the lower lens system, you would need a 1.25"

    • Hi, Would this barlow work excellently on a Baader Mark 1 zoom? If not, in your opinion is the Baader barlow made explicitly for there Mark 111 zoom worth the $30 extra over the ES 1.25" telocentric? Thanks De Lorme

This barlow should work fine in both the 2.25x and 1.3x configurations, though due to the Baader zoom eyepiece's complex design, you might get slightly different magnifications. This barlow is not a triplet apochromatic lens like the Hyperion Barlow, tho
