So far, excellent product. Spent at least 90 min outside last night (cold with temp very close to dew pt.) and with dew strips on eyepiece and finderscope no dew at all. Before using this my finderscope would’ve dewed up in minutes but no problems at all. I did find that with 3 strips plugged into the dew controller the power output from my celestron Powertank drained quicker than usual but by that time my hands were cold so it was time to come in anyway
This dew heater was dead on its first use at a star party. I used an ohmmeter to test it, and it was bad. I had a friend test it who is an electronics expert, and he independently found it to be bad. We tried wiggling the connections to find the bad spot but it had no life at all. Looks like a quality control problem.
I needed to stop the dew from coating the lens of my guide scope. I ordered this heater. Its easy to place on the scope and keeps the dew away. I also ordered a heater for the main scope and the Kendrick Duel Channel controller. I am very pleased with the service and the products. Now my imaging time can continue for many more hours.
Another amazing experience buying from OPT. The product is good value and as it is winter here, a "must have" to avoid dew on the eyepieces.Thank you for such great service
The used eyepieces and diagonal have been kept in like-new condition and work flawlessly!
