The ADM mini-dovetail bar isn't pot metal... It's crafted from is .75" 6061 Aluminum, and is black anodized for maximum durability and good looks. It measures 1.375" wide, with a small channel machined in the underside for a perfect fit with the Celestron C8.

ADM Mini Dovetail cor Celestron 8 inch sct

I bought this to mount finder/guide scope. It fitted as expected and works well for secure mounting. Was not in stock and I was told 3 weeks and it took exactly 3 weeks. Apart from the wait I am very satisfied.
