• The M-Uno Dual Saddle Single Fork Equatorial Mount from Avalon Instruments (Bluetooth Version) - 

  Avalon has upgraded the well known M-Uno mount with the M-Uno Dual. It includes the same high-quality RA mechanic and Fast Reverse, belt driven system as before, along with its portable single arm fork mount.

  The innovation of the M-Uno Dual mount is a fully rotating Declination axis which allows the use of a second clamp (optional) to hold a second smaller OTA. Although the X-Guider accessory (optional) can be used instead.

  A 3-inch clamp can be easily attached to the declination axis. Two styles of clamps are provide with screws to align a second scope (of smaller size compared to the main one used) in order to have both perfectly aligned to the same object of field of view.

  As an alternative, the optional X-Guider accessory can be attached directly to the declination axis end as it provides a fine alignment of the guide scope itself. The use of a second scope on the M-Uno Dual will essentially avoid the use of any counterweight.

  Load: The primary OTA will be devoted to deep-sky imaging in the capacity range up to 20 kg (44-pounds). It has a variable payload capacity of 20 kg (44-pounds) in imaging, or 25 kg (55-pounds) in observing.

  Maintenance: Since there are no gears, there is no need of periodical lubrication of the internal components and therefore the maintenance is extremely reduced and limited to the external cleaning.
