  • Hello, I have read everywhere this Tri-pier comes with a case... Does it? I haven't found not a single Word of it here... Thanks!

This version of the Tri-Pier does not have a case. The part# IO-8034-RC comes with a rolling case but costs $150 more ($748 vs. $598). We can get the version with the case, but it is not yet on the web. Please call us if you have any questions.

  • The option website talks about other brand mounts fitting this Tri-pier with an adapter plate. Is this true? What adapter plate would be for a celestron AVX mount?

Currently there are no adapter plates made for the AVX Mount. While the manufacturer does state that the Tri Pier can be used with other mounts, in some cases you may need to have a custom adapter made to fit your equipment.

Do they have an adapter for the CGEM DX?

Do they have an adapter for the CGEM DX

  • Does this work with the edge HD 11" with or without the reducer lens?

This will work as long as the length of the camera back focus, the focuser, and the adapters used add up to exactly 146mm (5.75") from the rear thread of the scope of reducer to the focal plane. If you plan to use this visually, you don't have to worry a

  • does this tri-pier compatible with IOPTRON IEQ45-AZ DUAL EQUATORIAL/ALT-AZIMUTH GOTO MOUNT?

Yes, this pier is compatible with the iOptron IEQ45 Pro Dual EQ/AZ Mount.

  • Hi, i have the cem60 mount and currently use the tripod legs that came with it. I would like to know how much more stable would it be using the tri pier. Currently i experience a good deal of shake with light winds and am trying to find a way to stabilize

The TriPier will give you a huge upgrade in stability. I have seen it in use with a 40+ lb imaging Newtonian payload, and it was much more stable than the conventional 2" tripod. the built in vibration suppression pads in the fee are a nice touch also!

  • Do they have an adapter for the CGEM DX

Unfortunately, the TriPier only had adaptation for the larger iOptron mounts at this time.

  • Will the "Tri-pier Adapter for Takahashi (EM-200), SkyWatcher (HEQ5/EQ6/NEQ6/AZEQ6), Celestron (CGEM/CGEM-DX), Orion Atlas (EQ-G/AZEQ-G)" work with the new Celestron CGX Mount?

Unfortunately not. The new CGX uses a different tripod attachment method and base plate than those other mounts.
