Good product but it could have been so much better with just a few extras.
Feature-wise I cannot fault the Stellarmate; it does it's job brilliantly but finishing and performance could have been better. The default RPi 4 box with the wobbly circuit board inside is a little bit disappointing; it feels cheap and it looks cheap and what is under the hood is cheap as well - for a few bucks more it could have doubled the amount of RAM and a much nicer box (see ASI Air Pro) I can understand the desire to keep the product price as low as possible but they could have some options for the customers to chose from. Even selling the software only. Good product with great potential.
Stellar Mate Performs Well
Easy to set-up. Initial tests show it works as advertised. The makers of Stellar Mate have on-line tutorials that explain just about everything you need to know. Feedback from the supplier is prompt if you have a question.

The item was difficult to use and would disconnect frequently. The concept was great the implementation was poor.

It could be me but I found the software to be very unintuitive. Even after watching tutorials it didn't make sense. During the setup process you must register the unit with a mobile app. The process was clumsy. There was also an error where my unit has been assigned a registration previously. I contacted the manufacturer who helped me to sort out out, so good on customer service from stellarmate. But overall I don't like it and went with something else instead.
Flaky connections… good support but no go
Bad experience with this product. Had serious issues with connectivity both with my Mac as well as a PC. Once attached, the unit seemed to work fairly well, but there were definitely issues with getting a reliable connection upon demand. The unit is being returned.
