    • How much back focus do you need for the focal reducer?

      I checked with the manufacturer & the backfocus of this item is 55mm so you could use a standard t-ring with a DSLR & the chip will be properly spaced.

    • Is the standard focuser that comes with the ES 127mm capable to handle the weight of the reducer +DSLR camera? it seems a bit heavy for it

      Yes it will handle the weight of a DSLR

    • Will it work with the Es 102 CF f7?

      As long as you have the newest version of the ES-102 CF Triplet where the 2" adapter on the focuser unthreads, this reducer can be used. Because you only have 2" of throughput on the focuser drawtube, you may see some vignetting with larger sensors, but

    • Can this reducer/flattener be used with a diagonal for visual astronomy?

      Unfortunately, no. The back focus from the reducer to the focal plane is too short for even a 1.25" diaginal and eyepiece. This is a purely photographic accessory. For visual use, a 2" diagonal and 30mm-56mm wide eyepiece would be the best solution.

      The manufacturer does not state what the reducer's field stop is, but given that it comes with a standard T2 adapter, the clear aperture as intended by the manufacturer comes out to ~40mm. If you remove the T2 adapter, you get more clear aperture, but it

      It may be possible, but the reducer will not fit out of the box. You need a focuser with a clear aperture of 3", and the focuser on the Meade 130 is smaller, so you will likely need to measure the largest thread on the rear of your focuser and then have

      Good morning and thanks for asking. The size of adapter 1 is approximately 57mm. The size of adapter 2 is approximately 53mm.
